Hungarian Inter-Church Aid – “Hunger for Love” donation point and bakery
To the great joy of the team organizing the Advent Feast, the Hungarian Inter-Church Aid has joined the fair again. The internationally recognized charitable organization, which is one of the biggest in Hungary, is going to launch its nationwide fundraising campaign for the 21st time this holiday season. Every year for tens of thousands of people the “Hunger for Love” honey-cake heart as the symbol of this initiative stands for one of the most important messages of Christmas: active love and support of people in need. This year the charity will form a festive communal space in the Christmas fair in front of the Basilica. At the donation point volunteers will kindly welcome everyone with a honey-cake heart who is willing to contribute to the support of people living in severe conditions. Next to the donation point, in the “Hunger for Love” bakery volunteers and celebrities supporting the charity will make the honey-cakes together with visitors.
Joint charitable event of the Inner City (Belváros–Lipótváros) and the Advent Feast at the Basilica
Every year one of the most beautiful moments of the fair is when the mayor of the Inner City invites dozens of children from the quarter to spend a cozy and joyful afternoon together. They will find toys and delicacies under the Christmas tree, and together with their parents they will be treated with special cakes. To the greatest joy of the group they can take over the ice rink as well. Not only the residents of the district, but all the visitors may witness and participate this moving and cheerful event.
